Less noise. Verified insights. Better decisions.
evisec's Cybersecurity Research Digest provides verified strategic insights to security leaders via a carefully curated regular summary of evidence-led, unbiased, and objective cybersecurity research publications.
Our goal is to deliver top-tier information to security leaders, helping them save time and energy while enabling smarter strategic decisions.
Filtering out marketing bias & delivering insights backed by data
CISOs, product owners, entrepreneurs, VCs, policymakers and other security leaders need to make and communicate data-driven strategic decisions, but are constantly faced with unreliable, biased, and distracting information. This is largely due to the fact that the majority of research publications relevant to security leaders is produced by vendors.
With over 400 of such reports released each year, cybersecurity companies clearly have the resources and unique data to generate valuable insights – however, the quality of the content is often severely compromised by marketing biases.
Our data value chain
🔎 We monitor all publicly available sources that publish evidence-based research content addressing cybersecurity leaders, covering reports released by security vendors and insurance providers to research organisations and public agencies.
🕵️♀️ We then verify the quality of the sources by analysing the trustworthiness and objectivity of the research. We assess factors such as the possible biases and incentives of the authors, whether appropriate research methodologies were followed, and if key results can be cross-verified and backed up with other trusted sources.
🗞️ As the final step, we provide our readers an organised list of all monitored sources and a weekly digest analysing and highlighting the most relevant insights from publications we identified as most relevant, objective, and trustworthy.
